Family fights for formula coverage despite it being Illinois law

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is an allergic disorder where the immune system doesn’t recognize foods as safe. It’s become one of the leading causes of stomach disorders in the United States.

Due in large part to research conducted in Dr. Marc Rothenberg’s lab, there are now better treatments for eosinophilic esophagitis.

But treatments can be expensive, and insurance doesn’t always cover them.
