New Initiative to Combat Childhood Trauma and Improve Child Health

Cincinnati Children’s is working with a Washington, DC-based learning collaborative called Building Community Resilience.

Together with more than 20 Greater Cincinnati organizations, the group is working to improve child health and development by building networks of resilience to help children and families “bounce back” from adversity.

Local and national experts in pediatrics and adverse childhood experiences, and members of the Building Community Resilience collaborative from five cities around the country gathered for a two-day conference in Cincinnati recently to improve outcomes for children and families.
