Top Award in the Field of Electronic Medical Records Given to Cincinnati Children’s

An independent research group has given Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center the highest grade available for implementing electronic medical records.  After a thorough review, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has given its Stage 7 Award to Cincinnati Children’s.  Less than 3% of more than 5,400 hospitals reviewed by HIMSS have reached Stage 7.

“We’re proud to be among a very small number of U.S. hospitals that have been recognized for developing and managing a top-notch electronic medical records system,” said Michael Fisher, president and CEO at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
