New Electronic Scheduling Boards Will Allow For Smoother, Quicker Service

New Electronic Scheduling Boards Will Allow For Smoother, Quicker Service

Starting this week, the MRI department at Main Base Cincinnati Children’s has erected construction walls and begun working on our newest upgrade: electronic patient scheduling boards. If you have been to our department before, you will notice the new electronic boards (and main area of construction) are occurring in the same location as the dated dry erase boards (in the center of the MRI hallway). Cincinnati Children’s and the MRI department are putting forth every effort to keep any inconveniences to a minimum.

You may wonder how this will affect you or your child’s visit. The driving purpose to our technological advancement is to allow for smoother and faster patient visit times. These boards will cut back on the time utilized for schedule changes, semi-automatically track patients throughout their appointment, display important notifications, and accomplish so much more. With this fresh technology we will also get significant information on how each patient moves within the department (with the semi-automatic tracking), which we can then use to form key data collections to improve your visit in the future.

Cincinnati Children’s recognizes computers are the wave of the future and hopes to use this fact as a way to give you and your child the best service possible. The construction is scheduled to last only a few weeks, but it may take a bit longer to get everyone educated on the new system. Please forgive any and all inconveniences. Before you know it we will be delivering better and faster service through the advancement of this amazing technology.
