Using Ultrasound Heel Toe Technique

Using Ultrasound Heel Toe Technique

At Cincinnati Children’s, we use departmental self-made training videos to teach our technologists various techniques to get the best scanning diagnoses of our pediatric patients. This video is a short snippet of the training provided for Pulse Wave Doppler techniques for MALS, liver transplants, renal transplants and peripheral arterial studies using ultrasound heel-toe technique with an ultrasound transducer. These types of exams rely heavily on the proper angle correction on a transducer. Improper use of angle correction can result in incorrect diagnoses.

We strive every day to be the best at our craft and to produce the optimum outcomes for our patients.
