Avondale makeover under way, one home at a time

A new loan program made possible by Cincinnati Children’s is providing funds for Avondale residents to repair their homes, and if the residents remain in the house long enough, the loan is forgiven.

The program is part of an effort to build neighborhood wealth and boost revitalization in Avondale.

“The really great thing about a program like this is that it really benefits our longer-time residents and homeowners who are so important to neighborhood stability,” said Ken Moore, director of real estate for the Avondale Comprehensive Development Corporation.
