Buckle Up For Life Checks Car Seats for Parents
Experts with Buckle Up for Life, a national child passenger safety education program created by Cincinnati Children’s and Toyota, were on hand at the Mason campus on Saturday to perform free car seat checks for parents to ensure children are buckled correctly.
“We see too many kids coming into our emergency room at Children’s that have been injured after not being restrained properly,” said Dr. Richard Falcone, director of Trauma Services at Cincinnati Children’s. “We know had they been restrained properly they either wouldn’t see us at all or would have seen us for a minor injury as opposed to the significant injuries we see.”
