Children’s Positions Itself to Attract World-Class Talent
Work continues at Cincinnati Children’s on a new 15-story research building at the main campus. Underground utilities and some foundation work are already complete at Location T which is expected to be finished in mid-2015.
The tower, located along Sabin Way, will increase the medical center’s research footprint to some 1.5 million square feet, already among the largest at U.S. children’s hospitals.
Cincinnati Children’s President and CEO Michael Fisher tells the Business Courier that the expansion will help build on the hospital’s prominence in the competitive world of pediatric research, helping to “attract and retain more of the world’s top-notch researchers, innovators and clinicians who want to be at the leading edge of discovery.”
The new 425,000-square-foot building will also house office space and an outpatient clinic and imaging facility for clinical trials and research.
