Cincinnati cancer doctors, scientists strategize in bid for top research designation

About 100 doctors and scientists from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, the University of Cincinnati, and UC Health recently gathered for a high-level strategy session that’s part of a concerted effort to obtain designation as a national cancer research center.

Such designation from the National Cancer Institute could lead to millions of dollars in federal research grants, which would create hundreds of new jobs in Greater Cincinnati.
