Cincinnati Children’s Buys Back Land in Butler County
Cincinnati Children’s has repurchased 15 acres of land near Liberty Campus. In 2006, the hospital sold the land along Yankee Road in Liberty Twp. to TriHealth. But once TriHealth decided to buy the former Butler County Medical Center in Hamilton, the acreage in Liberty Twp. no longer fit the organization’s long-term strategic plans, according to TriHealth.
Cincinnati Children’s exercised an option to repurchase the land, buying it for the same amount originally paid – approximately $3.7 million. There are no immediate plans for the property.
The purchase brings the total amount of land owned by Cincinnati Children’s in Liberty Twp. along Yankee Road to 65 acres.
