Cincinnati Children’s Director is Red Cross Hero
Spreading the word about services offered by the American Red Cross is Kevin Titus’ way of giving back. The business director of the Allergy and Immunology division at Cincinnati Children’s spent 10 days this summer in Mississippi helping residents clean up from Hurricane Isaac. As a public affairs manager, Titus tried to connect those affected by the storm with available Red Cross services. He calls the work more inspiring than depressing.
“Often we’re spending hour after hour, day after day, and the only people you’re seeing are people who have lost everything,” said Titus. “That can get to you after awhile, but the mission of helping people respond and recover from disasters really appealed to me.”
