Doctors at Cincinnati Children’s Support Graduated Driver’s License Legislation for Teens

Michael Gittelman, Wendy Pomerantz and Richard A. Falcone are physicians in Cincinnati Children’s Comprehensive Children’s Injury Center. They have published an editorial for Cincinnati.com citing sobering teen driving statistics in order to generate support for stricter graduated driver’s license legislation (GDL), found in House Bill 204 from Rep. Rick Perales, R-Beavercreek.

The doctors state that “the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety estimates the changes to Ohio’s GDL would reduce fatal crash risks by 20 percent,” and they encourage Ohioans to ask lawmakers to support HB 204.
