Lauren Hill Raising $1 Million to Fight Cancer

So far, Lauren Hill’s efforts have raised more than $775,000 for The Cure Starts Now.  A telethon is taking place Tuesday, December 30, to help her reach her goal of raising more than $1 million.

Lauren has DIPG, a rare and terminal form of brain cancer. Her story received national attention when she fulfilled her lifelong dream of playing college basketball by scoring the first two points of the season for Mount St. Joseph University.

Editor’s Note: Since this story ran, Lauren easily surpassed her $1 million fundraising goal.
