March of Dimes, Cincinnati Children’s Partner to Study Premature Births

Dr. Lou Muglia is working with the March of Dimes to study and discover patterns of premature births in families.

Muglia believes identifying patterns could lead to finding a genetic cause which might help doctors identify at-risk mothers and possibly prevent premature births. Cincinnati Children’s is accepting families for the study on an on-going basis.

“To really invest in understanding the cause of preterm birth, the March of Dimes has been the leading source in the country in supporting pre-term birth research,” Muglia said.
