Network of Children’s Hospitals Across the Country Expands to Improve Patient Safety
It started as a network of children’s hospitals in Ohio. Now, it has spread to include 78 children’s hospitals nationwide. And Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, as one of the network’s founders, has been helping it grow.
What is it? The Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety, a network that is sharing resources to build a “culture of safety” with the participating hospitals.
“It’s incredible when you hear these very busy people who are running very large hospitals stop what they are doing and get together to discuss how they can work together,” said Steve Muething, MD, vice president for safety at Cincinnati Children’s. “And it all started right here in Ohio.”
