New Prosthetic Limb Helps Teen Football Player

A 15-year-old football player born without his left hand is now able to do more things in the weight room thanks to a brand new prosthetic limb.

Ryan Brewster is a patient of Charles Mehlman, OD, at Cincinnati Children’s. Through the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Center, the teen had a prosthesis made to help him lift weights symmetrically with his upper body, something he’s never been able to do before now.

WCPO’s Tony Mirones shows us how Ryan’s new limb is helping him work harder on and off the field.
