November is Prematurity Awareness Month – Many Strides Made, Many More Still Needed

Premature birth is a major public health concern, affecting one in nine babies in the U.S.  A great deal has been accomplished to understand its causes, but there’s still much to be learned.

With November being Prematurity Awareness Month, The Huffington Post published an article on the five ways that preemies are completely amazing. Dr. Stephanie Merhar, an attending neonatologist at Cincinnati Children’s, is quoted in the article.
