Study: Invest in kids & mothers, get big return
A recent study of Cincinnati Children’s Every Child Succeeds program showed that for every $1 invested in Every Child Succeeds, $1.65 is returned to the community within two years. Every Child Succeeds works with low-income and at-risk new mothers and their young children through home visits and counseling.
“In Cincinnati now, there is a real effort to address the poverty issue, and what we do fits in to that because we help families emerge from poverty,” said Judith Van Ginkel, President, Every Child Succeeds. “Early care and intervention is a really good road map. This study shows that.”
