The Need for More Dollars for Pediatric Cancer Research

Cancer is the number one killer of children. About 10,000 children will be diagnosed this year. But only about 4 percent of the $4.79 billion federal cancer research budget goes to pediatric illness. As a result, more moms and dads touched by a child with cancer have founded and led small charities of their own to tackle the problem.
