At Last Friday’s Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Fellowship Graduation dinner, we also celebrated three second-year fellows and one six-month fellow. Faculty awards, granted by the fellows, were given out to three Radiology Faculty members.

Neuroradiology Fellows

Dr. Christian Carlson is our six-month fellow. It has only been a few weeks since he retired from the military as a colonel. He will be returning to Salt Lake City’s Primary Children’s to practice his new career.

Dr. Jenna Brown was our second-year fellow. She accepted a position at Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she will be close to her family.

Interventional Radiology

Dr. Felipe Rodriquez stayed for a second-year to expand his skills in Interventional Radiology (IR). He will be moving to Miami, Florida, and working at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The IR staff and faculty at Cincinnati Children’s enjoyed working with him and will miss him.

Body MRI

Dr. Nadeen Abu Ata went to medical school at the University of Jordan. She completed her internship at Hadassah Medical Center and residency at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. She will be continuing her education at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Hopefully, her path leads her back to Cincinnati Children’s.

Faculty Awards

Drs. Le and Epstein handed out the faculty awards to three of our Radiology faculty members. The Clinical Award goes to Dr. Sally O’Hara for demonstrating great patient care. The Education Award goes to the faculty that showed great patience and enthusiasm with working with trainees and it goes to Dr. Arther Meyers. The Janet Strife Morale Award goes to Dr. Eric Crotty for doing all that he could for the fellows during this year of the Covid pandemic and just being a great advocate for the fellows.

They also recognized other faculty members, such as Dr. Bernadette Koch for her support and excellent job with the work schedule. Dr. Yinan Le, assistant program director, was recognized for his great support of the fellows.

We wish all our outgoing fellows and their families good luck. Also, we want them to remember that wherever they are in the country, they will always have a home and an extended family here at Cincinnati Children’s.
