Adopt a Family Update

The “Adopt a Family” team is celebrating another successful season of giving on Opening Day for the Cincinnati Reds. Traditionally, each year at Christmas, the Department of Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s “adopts” a family. With the generosity of many employees throughout our department, we can help alleviate some of the stress during the holiday season for our family. Recipients are typically experiencing a roller coaster ride of emotions and many times this includes much time away from their home attending to the needs of their child.

This year we were able to check off everything on our recipient’s wish list and much more! Our “adopted” family said that the medical team has been nothing short of amazing and they are extremely grateful to have this hospital and the staff taking care of their child. “We were blown away by your generosity and the kids were beyond excited when they saw all of the gifts under the tree.”

One of our team members donated a Cincinnati Reds package, which includes the opportunity to watch the Reds take batting practice from the warning track behind home plate, five tickets to the Reds game on that day, five tickets to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, and five tickets for a Great American Ball Park tour. Additionally, we added Reds gear and hats for all of the children in our family so they could attend their special day with the Cincinnati Reds in style.

Here’s hoping 2022 is good to our family and to the success of the Cincinnati Reds.

GO REDS!
