After-Hours Resources For Our Patients and Families

After-Hours Resources For Our Patients and Families

The Radiology Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Sometimes our patients and their families have no other choice but to come to us at night or on weekends. Here are some hospital resources that are available after hours.

Our pharmacy provides prescription medications and a limited number of over-the-counter medications for outpatients and hospital employees. It’s open M-F, 9 am – 8 pm, and Sat-Sun, 10 am – 2 pm. After hours, we recommend CVS and Walgreens, which are both located within 5 miles of the hospital.

The gift shop is open M-F, 9 am-6 pm, and Sat-Sun 12:30 pm -3:30 pm. The shop sources products specifically for our patient families and Cincinnati Children’s staff. You will find an assortment of items, from Get Well cards to nursing supplies.

The hospital cafeteria is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. On weekdays you’ll find our World Cuisine option open 11:30 am -2:30 pm, and open again for dinner 4:30 pm-7:30 pm. We offer Gold Star Chili, which opens at 11:00 am and closes at 7:00 pm on weekdays and at 6:30 pm on the weekends. They remain open until 3:00 am on Thursdays. LaRosa’s Pizzeria is open until 11:00 pm every night. Our salad bar is open until 9:00 pm every night. We have a grill that offers everything from curly fries to chicken fingers, and is open until 7:00 pm every night and until 3 am only on Tuesdays and Fridays. Our deli, which offers handcrafted sandwiches and paninis, is open until 6:00 pm on weekends, but remains open until 3:00 am on Mondays and Wednesdays. We offer a special soup of the day available until 9:00 pm every night. We do have boxed sandwiches and salads, too, which are available 24 hours a day. Soft drinks, bottled water, and juice are available for purchase.

We hope that our patients and families take these hospital resources into account when they are at our Radiology department after hours. And remember, hours of operations are subject to change.
