Changes to Liberty Campus That Benefit Your Child

Changes to Liberty Campus That Benefit Your Child

Changes are being made every day to accommodate the growing needs of patients and families within the medical center. One of those changes that we are excited to announce is the expansion of Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus.

On August 17, 2015, a new fourth floor will officially open. It will provide an additional 30 inpatient beds, increasing the total to 42. These will be used by a variety of services including the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) and the Sleep Study Center. The surgical team is also expanding with additional surgeons and services including colorectal surgery and maxillofacial surgery. A vascular access team has been added to assist with difficult IVs and PICC lines.

Another department that is expanding at Liberty is the Radiology Department. In addition to all the routine services already offered (including x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and nuclear medicine), we will be offering placement of feeding tubes during regular business hours as well as emergency after-hour fluoroscopy studies. Expanded in-house ultrasound technologist coverage has already been added. We are also pleased to announce that Interventional Radiology will now be offered at the Liberty campus. Routine interventional radiology services will be offered twice a month with emergency services 24 hours a day, seven day a week.

We are all very excited about these added services now available at the Liberty campus. We hope these additions will add convenience to your child’s healthcare experience and help to better serve you and your family surrounding Liberty township and across the tri-state area.
