Charlene “Char” VonHagen Retires from Radiology After Two Decades of Service

Last week, Charlene “Char” VonHagen retired from Cincinnati Children’s with two decades as an administrative assistant under her belt. Char began her career in the Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department around 2002 working in the historic hospital building that has since been demolished. Buildings S and T are where the old historic Building H used to stand.

She has seen our medical campus expand; watched as old buildings were torn down and new buildings erected; witnessed new and old employees come and go; supported several faculties; and has built a lifetime of friendships with her co-workers. On her last day, co-workers celebrated her retirement in our new Radiology large conference room with parting gifts, picture taking and personal well wishes.

Family, friends, and co-workers put together a retirement video in honor, wishing her all the best in the new stage of her life.
