Mary Giblin is Recognized with the DAISY Award

DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The Foundation was formed by Bonnie and Mark Barnes, parents to Patrick Barnes who died at age 33. Patrick had a disease that required him to be in the hospital for a long time. His nurses did such a great job caring for him that the Barnes family created an award that recognizes nurses throughout the country.

Mary Giblin was nominated by a parent and then selected by the Cincinnati Children’s Daisy Recognition Committee out of all the applicants sent to them. Mary is a registered nurse under the Department of Anesthesia, which works closely with our Radiology MRI Division. It was only a few weeks after Mary started her job with the Anesthesia department when she received the award. She’s off to a great start! Congratulations, Mary!
