Dr. Ayyala Recognized on Cincinnati Children’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2023

“The first female physician to practice at Cincinnati Children’s was Katherine “Katie” Dodd, MD. She was highly admired and led the way for other females to work in the field of medicine.”(1) In honor of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, celebrated on February 11 each year, Dr. Rama Ayyalla is being recognized as following in her footsteps.

Dr. Ayyala started working for Cincinnati Children’s Radiology in the summer of 2020. Dr. Ayyala hails from The Medical School of Brown University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She has received many awards, including the 2018 Certificate of Merit (RSNA Scientific Poster). She belongs to several professional organizations and societies, such as the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR), and American College of Radiology (ACR). Her duties in Radiology include reading general imaging diagnostics and fetal studies.
