Farewell Class of 2019 Fellows, Part 1

On June 14, the Department of Radiology of Cincinnati Children’s celebrated the 69th Fellowship Class of 2019. Dr. Eric Crotty, Dr. Bill O’Brien and Dr. Andrew Trout presented the certificates of completion to the graduating fellows. Faculty, fellows and families attended the celebration. It was a bittersweet night of celebrating a year-long Fellowship Program. Through the year we’ve gotten to know and created friendships with the fellows. Now they will be moving onto the next chapter in their lives.

I can remember the very day I took their incoming group photo, and at the dinner celebration, I captured their graduation photo. It was a pleasure to see their transition in the Fellowship Program.

Here is a wrap-up of the Class of 2019:

Her residencywas at Allegheny General Hospital. She completed a pediatric rotation at Cincinnati Children’s during her residency. Deborah will be moving on to the Cleveland Clinic as a faculty in Radiology.

His co-workers will be missing his wonderful sense of humor and his laughter.

Dr. Reem Hasweh lived away from her family for quite a bit of time in order to continue her medical education. This showed her dedication to her profession and to improving herself. Reem completed her medical school in Jordan and finished her residency in Amman, Jordan. She also completed a neuroradiology fellowship in Galveston, Texas, before coming to Cincinnati Children’s. Reem will be going back to Jordan to be united with her family.

Dr. Brendan McCleary’s career brought him to Bryn Mawr College for his undergraduate degree and he then moved on to the University of Rochester for his medical degree. He completed his residency at Lahey Health. Brendan will be joining Dr. Brahee at the Cleveland Clinic after spending a few more months here in Cincinnati Children’s training in fetal imaging.
