Get to Know Your Radiologist: Dr. John Racadio

Dr. John M. Racadio has been practicing Interventional Radiology (IR) for 14 years and has been the division chief of Interventional Radiology at Cincinnati Children’s for the past 11 years. He is also the director of the Interventional Radiology Research Lab, which is part of the Department of Radiology Imaging Research Center (IRC).

He grew up in Missouri and attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He credits his grandfather for teaching him how to remove a tick. He likes to spend his free time going on walks with his dog in the park.

Alex is a radiologist and the Neil D. Johnson Chair of Radiology Informatics. In this role, he helps to manage the information systems used by the Radiology department. Clinically, Alex is the Assistant Director of thoracoabdominal imaging. His research interests include liver disease, liver tumors, inflammatory bowel disease, and appendicitis.
