IRC Team Gets Grant From NIH

Dr. Lili He, a recent and welcome addition to our IRC faculty, is the principal investigator (PI) of a recently awarded four-year $1,356,925 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. He and her team, which also includes Drs. Kline-Fath and Tkach, will employ artificial intelligence algorithms to predict neurodevelopmental outcomes in very preterm infants (<32 weeks’ gestation). These predictions can then be used to tailor interventions and rehabilitation efforts for each child. In this way, the care team can optimize resources, thus improving outcomes for the patients and their caregivers.

Congratulations, Lili!
