Meet the Team: Fallon Cook

My name is Fallon Cook and I’ve worked in the Radiology Department at Cincinnati Children’s for the past eleven years. My job description has changed over time, but currently I’am a reading room assistant. This means I assist the radiologists with calling stat reports, obtain outside reports and films for our doctors to interpret, register outpatients for ultrasound, MRICT, and place x-ray orders for outpatients.

Having been raised in Cincinnati, I was seen at Children’s when I was just 17 years old and diagnosed with a condition called endometriosis. I have had quite a few surgeries for it. The nurses and doctors were so amazing and I just knew that I wanted to work there when I grew up. I loved the way the staff made me feel. I was always treated with care, respect, and love. It is the way that I hope I make patients feel now.

My favorite singer is Beyonce and my favorite show is The Walking Dead. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, and binge watch shows on Netflix. For the past couple of years, I have been a part-time student at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash Campus for Radiology Technology. It is going to take me quite a while to finish, but in the end, it will be worth it. I live at home with my elderly mother, who is my hero and my best friend. She was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and overcame it by the grace of God. Everything that I am is because of my mother and I don’t know where I would be without her.

I absolutely love working at Cincinnati Children’s. I love interacting with patients, families, and working with the radiologists in the reading room.
