Brooke A Johnson

Brooke Johnson

Hi, my name is Brooke and I am in the X-ray department. I grew up in Columbus, OH, then moved to Pittsburgh where I went to a community college for radiologic technology. I was a student tech for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and then worked as an employee there for a year after graduation.

Everyone in my family is in the medical field, so I was drawn to radiologic technology. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being with family, and reading. I am currently reading the Harry Potter series for the first time!

Sharlene Herzog

Sharlene Adams

Hi, my name is Sharlene Adams. After years of working as a preschool teacher, I decided to return to college. I recently graduated from the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash with my Radiologic Technology degree. I grew up in the Cincinnati area and I feel truly blessed to be a part of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital! The moment I began my clinical time as a student at Children’s Hospital, I knew it was the right fit for me.

In my free time, I enjoy decorating and completing home improvement projects, dancing to live local bands, hiking, and hanging out with my family and friends.

Emily Soto

My name is Emily Soto. I live on the west side of Cincinnati in White Oak. I graduated from McAuley High School in 2018 and then went to the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash and graduated in 2020.

I have an older sister Lindsey who is 23 years old and a younger brother Jake who is 18. I have two dogs named Peanut and Teddie. I am very excited to meet everyone and start working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital!

Erin N Maines

Erin Maines

My name is Erin Maines. I recently graduated from NKU with my Bachelor’s in the Radiologic Science program. I was born and raised in Batavia, Ohio. I have two younger brothers. My hobbies include shopping, watching scary movies, going to haunted houses, and hanging out with family and friends. Spending quality time with my cat and eating tasty food are my specialties.

I have always wanted to be in the healthcare field. I decided to choose the radiology profession and I am so happy I did. I love interacting with every one of my patients and trying to brighten their day. I am very eager to see what all Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has in store for me!

Cody Swords

Hi, my name is Cody Swords and I am the new business manager for the Imaging Research Center. I am originally from Paris, KY, and currently live in Anderson Township with my wife, Lindsey, and two children, Ellie and Nash.

I have a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Transylvania University; master’s in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville; and an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University.

I’m currently reading A Promised Land by Barack Obama and the last movie I saw was Raya and the Last Dragon (thanks, kids). I’m currently rewatching The Last Dance (so good). I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, playing basketball and soccer, and coaching Ellie and Nash in various sports.
