Medical emergencies can happen at anytime. Cincinnati Children’s has you covered, even in the middle of the night and early hours of the morning before the sun rises. The main campus of Cincinnati Children’s is one of the few children’s hospitals in the country in which a pediatric radiologist is present 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. They provide diagnostic imaging interpretation for each Cincinnati Children’s site and Urgent Care Center.

The pediatric radiologists in the Emergency and Critical Care Imaging section are experienced in using x-rays, CT, MRI and ultrasound to diagnose and sometimes treat emergent medical conditions. They work overnight with a dedicated, compassionate, and amazing overnight team of experienced technologists and sonographers. Together with the emergency, surgery, and inpatient physicians, the overnight radiology team helps to ensure accurate diagnosis and quality care to patients presenting with emergent and sometimes life-threatening conditions anytime, day or night.
