Patient Experience Week Wrap-Up

Today we conclude our Patient Experience Week 2019, which we also discussed in our last blog article (You are a Patient Experience Star).

These past several days, our Radiology employees were challenged with activities that helped them connect with patients and families, such as “Walk a family or visitor to their destination instead of giving directions, Thank at least one family or five co-workers for all they do” etc. Other activities included donating items for the Ronald McDonald House and giving out a Fun Bucket to a patient (each bucket has an age-appropriate coloring book, stickers, crayons, games, and more).

To top off the week-long event, we celebrated with a party for the department last Thursday. Popcorn and funnel cake were handed out. The three most voted Patient Experience Week Award Winners were announced. All Nominees received their nomination cards. There was a Hula hoop contest as well.

A big thank you goes out to Dianne Hater (Patient Advocate) for orchestrating this week-long event. Thank you also to the Department’s Quality Improvement Division and Drs. Koch and Coley for their support. We also have a video photo gallery of this week. Enjoy!
