Our Radiology Department Constantly Strives to Improve

Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department is committed to being the best at getting better. Our Quality Assurance and Compliance Team consists of a nurse, patient advocate manager, project manager and technologists that work alongside radiologists and physicists to improve our department. The team focuses on initiatives that improve the safety, flow, experience and outcome of your visit to Radiology.

The team uses a formal approach to measure where we are and intelligently implement improvements to make our department better. A few of the initiatives underway are to continue to reduce radiation dose in x-rays, improve patient and family experience, and improve the safety and flow in our MRI area. In many cases, we rely on our families for feedback. We have created a Radiology Family-Centered Care Committee that helps us to assure we are making the right improvements for our patients and families. If you are interested in joining our group, we would love to have your input!
