Welcome Back!

Over the last six months or so, the MRI Division’s clinical patient population has been moved to different buildings, asked to walk across the street, and scanned within our research areas. This was all because of the potential construction disruptions that were happening directly outside the MRI Division. Drilling into the bedrock underground caused vibrations, and steel beams being fixated to the sides of the building caused disruptions to the magnetic field. Both actions could have decreased the image quality we need and expect here at Cincinnati Children’s

We are proud to say we are now officially back home (floor one in the B building at the Burnet Campus). We are beyond thrilled to get everyone, patients and employees, back into the same space again, instead of being spread across so many separate locations. Just like we were before the major construction, all MRI appointments will be checked in at the B1 Radiology Waiting Room (with the exception of cardiac patients being imaged on A6, who will be registered on A1).

Now that we are back to our normal situation, we would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all our patients, families and coworkers who were instrumental in the success of the entire process. Without such great cooperation and understanding from all of you, the months we were away from home would have been ineffective and impossible. Because of your help, we could continue with our MRI schedule smoothly, with little-to-no negative effect on patients being able to schedule their appointments in a timely manner. Once again this was only possible because of everyone’s willingness to muster up patience and work as a team (both patients and employees). We, the Radiology Department, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Welcome back!
