Radiology Department at the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) Annual Meeting 2018

This week the Radiology Department at Cincinnati Children’s will be participating in the Radiological Society of North America’s (RSNA) annual meeting. This meeting is the premier scientific and educational meeting in the radiology community and one of the most important medical meetings in the world. Each year, more than 60,000 people travel to Chicago the week after Thanksgiving to learn about the latest advances in the science and technology of radiology.

The Radiology Department at Cincinnati Children’s has a long history of success at RSNA. Each year, radiologists from our department give multiple lectures, present scientific discoveries, and share their knowledge via posters. Their work has led to multiple awards from RSNA. One of the highest honors that a radiologist can receive from the RSNA is the Honored Educator Award. Each year, the RSNA selects a small number of radiologists for this award. Three of our current faculty have received this prestigious award, making Cincinnati Children’s one of the most awarded radiology departments in the country.

This year, like in years past, our department has a lot to share with the radiology community. Our radiologists will be delivering 24 talks and 10 poster presentations on a broad range of topics including MR elastography, appendicitis, customer service, and radiation safety. Through these talks, we hope to teach the radiology community and improve the care of patients throughout the world.
