Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

Before our MRI electronic status boards were installed, we were “old school” with a whiteboard that the MRI staff, anesthesia nurses and doctors used. Moving from handwritten to electronic display was a major event. Our old MRI whiteboard served our Radiology and Anesthesia teams for many years, but it had to go.

On its last week before sending it off to the garbage pile, we celebrated by giving everyone in the department a chance to sign farewell notes on its surface. Farewell signatures from “You will be forever in our hearts” to “I will be lost without you” dotted it.

The Quality Improvement Division hosted the event with free cookies and a photo shoot. Numerous Radiology staff and faculty showed up to see the whiteboard for the last time.
