Charlene Adams; Patient Experience Award Winner

Each month, through the Radiology Patient Experience Survey, the department receives many comments from patients and families about the exceptional care they received during their visit. We normally post these comments in our Patient Experience monthly articles.

The Radiology Family Recognition Award utilizes family feedback to spotlight those employees who best exemplify Cincinnati Children’s values: Making a Difference, Telling the Truth, Work as a Team, Respect Everyone.

Charlene Adams; Patient Experience Award Winner

Sharlene Adams, Radiography tech, has been selected to receive the Radiology Family Appreciation Award for FY2023 QRT 1. Congratulations, Sharlene, on being recognized and thank you for all you do to provide an exceptional patient experience every day!

The Radiology Patient Experience Team voted for her to receive this award based on the survey feedback describing families’ experiences while the patients were in her care.?

Survey Comment:

I brought my daughter to Burnet Campus to have her cast removed, and we had such a wonderful experience with the Radiology tech that I had to give a shout out. Sharlene Adams could teach classes on how to talk with patients! My daughter was uncomfortable, worried, and tearful. Sharlene was absolutely wonderful with her. I was so impressed! Thank you, Sharlene, for bringing your whole heart to work yesterday ? It made a difference!

Sharlene also received recognition twice, earlier this fiscal year, as part of the team providing exceptional patient experience.

We would like to recognize…the radiology techs that took care of (our child) during the two air enema attempts. They sang and gave her stickers. They were incredible. Both radiology technicians that cared for (our child) were professional, kind, and reassuring. Thank you!
