Success at the SPR Pediatric Body MRI Course at Cincinnati Children’s

Last week, around a hundred and fifty people attended the 2nd SPR Pediatric Body MRI Course at Cincinnati Children’s. The course was held in the hospital’s Sabin Auditorium, named after Albert Sabin, who is best know for developing the oral polio vaccine. Members of the SPR presented their MRI course lectures, some of whom hailed from our very own Children’s Radiology Department. The attendees received continuing education points for attending the three-day course.

The meeting allowed people in the Pediatric Radiology field to catch up with friends and colleagues. Some of the attendees were former Cincinnati Children’s faculty and Radiology Fellows. Friday night attendees gathered for dinner at a well-known local steakhouse (Montgomery Inn Boathouse). Saturday night the guests were driven to Zinzinnati Oktoberfest festival, the second-largest Oktoberfest celebration in the world (the first being the original in Munich, Germany).

All in all, the meeting was fun, productive and successful. We hope to host the 4th SPR Pediatric Body MRI Course event in four years. Below are some photos taken at the event.
