Please welcome two new employees to our Radiology family. Fred joins our Informatics team, which supports Radiology in relation to the picture, archiving, communication systems (PACS) and handles most telecommunications and computer needs. Katie joins our Ultrasound Division as a new technologist.

Hello, my name is Fred Walker and I am the new Radiology Informatics analyst. Born and raised in Cincinnati, I grew up in the Colerain Township area. I spent a lot of time playing basketball and football; there was always somebody in the neighborhood shooting hoops. I grew up in the 80’s so music was always something I enjoyed. I would spin “records” at high school house parties.

I had been in the IT field for a while when I came to Cincinnati Children’s and had worked with the (IT) Deskside Team for about 3 years. As I worked more and more with the Radiology group, it sparked an interest to learn some new and different skills.

In my off time, I like to ride motorcycles with my wife, taking out-of-town weekend trips. I also like spending time with my family.

The most recent movie I watched is my favorite: Training Day with Denzel Washington (my twin).

Katie Wenz

Hi, my name is Katie Wenz. I grew up in Maysville, KY. I am a 2021 graduate of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Morehead State University.

I love dogs and have a dog of my own named Gypsy. In my free time, I am either reading, spending time with friends and family, or catching up on Netflix shows. I am excited to join the team at Cincinnati Children’s and to meet everyone!
