“Hi! I am from London, Ohio, which is a small town about thirty minutes west of Columbus. I moved to the big city to go to nursing school at Xavier. Go Muskies! Nursing seemed like a good field to work in because I enjoy helping people, and I didn’t mind the sight of blood. Both my grandmothers were nurses too, and I always loved hearing their stories. During nursing school, I wound up working at Cincinnati Children’s in Same Day Surgery and the Urgent Care and I have been fortunate enough to stay here throughout my nursing career in the PICU and now Anesthesia Imaging.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kyle, and our Chiweenie, Belle. We enjoy running, playing sports and watching movies. My favorite food is my mom’s lasagna, though Taste of Belgium’s chicken and waffles is a close second. I am excited to be working with Anesthesia Imaging, Radiology and the great team we have here!”

Rachel is a hometown Cincinnatian. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Currently, she is studying for her Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Northern Kentucky University.

Rachel’s hobbies are reading, listening to podcasts, running and Barre3, a form of three fitness disciplines: ballet barre, pilates and yoga.

Her favorite food is ice cream and the last movie she saw was Mama Mia.

“I was born and raised just south of Cincinnati in Northern Kentucky. I originally went to Northern Kentucky University (NKU) majoring in Pre-med and found out that nursing was going to make me happier in the long run, so I switched majors and here I am 5.5 years later enjoying my job. While at NKU, I ran cross country and track, which I guess you could say are some hobbies of mine, but my most favorite past time is sitting on the couch relaxing.

Some of my favorite foods are sushi, fried chicken, and I will devour any kind of ice cream you put in front of me. PS: There is now pickle flavored ice cream which if anyone sees let me know. I HAVE to try it!

Being the mother of an 19-month-old boy, I don’t get to watch new movies anymore. I think the last new movie we watched was Stars Wars: A New Hope (when it came out). I have been dying to see lots of others, but a toddler won’t sit still for that long and by the time he goes to bed… well, you know… you barely have the energy to move yourself.

We are huge FCC fans and are a house divided when it comes to football between the KC Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and spend a lot of our time going to games. I look forward to working with all the great people I have met so far in Anesthesia Imaging and Radiology.”

“I grew up on the West side of Cincinnati in Cleves, Ohio. I went to nursing school at Northern Kentucky University and after meeting my husband, David, I moved to Northern Kentucky. We now reside in Edgewood with our two dogs, Bronco and Noelle.

I decided on my career in nursing because of my passion to help others. In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends, craft, do some amateur photography, and work on furniture remodeling. My favorite food is pizza or Skyline. The last movie I saw was Avengers: Infinity Wars. I am excited to continue my nursing career in Anesthesia Imaging and meeting new friends in Radiology!”
