Tony Dandino began his career at Cincinnati Children’s as an MRI technologist four years ago. He plays various roles in MRI, including managing the work flow while working as charge technologist, imaging patients, and supporting co-workers, patients and families. Recently, Tony accepted a new role in Radiology as the MRI quality improvement specialist. Tony now works in the Quality Improvement division two days a week while still working as an MRI technologist the remaining work days.

In Tony’s new role, which is dedicated to making improvements in the MRI division, he is able to initiate changes while, thanks to his background, understanding the workflow and challenges faced by the employees who work in MRI. Tony will use our QI process to implement changes, which includes not only identifying a problem but also investigating the issue and ensuring that frontline staff are enabled to make measureable improvements based on their observations and feedback. Tony is beginning to identify opportunities for improvement in the MRI division and we are excited to have him join our QI team!
