Meet the Team: Lori Holthaus
My name is Lori Holthaus. I am an Administrative Assistant in the Radiology Department and I support Drs. Anton, Johnson, Podberesky and Towbin. I’ve been with Cincinnati Children’s since March of 2012.
I was drawn to Cincinnati Children’s because of my two sons, Nicolas and Logan. Now ages 14 and 12, they were diagnosed with autism at ages 5 and 3. I really wanted to give back because of the incredible support that we received and still receive today from so many people here at Cincinnati Children’s.
Although I don’t have immediate access to the families and children that come to this hospital, my hope is that I’m making at least a small difference. My goal is to make things seamless for the doctors so that they’re able to concentrate on what’s really important to everyone here: the kids. I know just how lucky we are to have this hospital in our backyards. Without the dedication and expertise of the doctors in this institution, my kids wouldn’t have had a chance to thrive the way they have.
A few things about me: I’m married and have three very busy boys and one incredibly spoiled and fat Chihuahua named Dudley. I’ve lived on the West side my entire life and I’m still friends with the girls I met in first grade. My husband is one of eleven kids and is the first boy after nine girls. Yes, nine older sisters and one younger brother. Let me just say, they did a great job in training him for marriage.
I love country music – anything by Luke Bryan, I’m one of those crazy people you see in the next car dancing and singing like no one is watching.
My favorite TV show is Downton Abbey, I’m so addicted and can’t wait until it comes back on in January. My favorite movie of all time is “An Affair to Remember” with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr – seriously, who doesn’t love a good love story?
My dream vacation would be traveling to Bora Bora with Guy Fieri as our chef, need I say more…
My favorite food is Mexican; however, if Guy Fieri was cooking – “Hey now!” Just sayin’.
