Earlier this month, we celebrated the Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Clinical Fellows graduating class of 2022. Each fellow received their certificate of completion from the Radiology Fellowship Program. Some will be moving on to start their careers in Pediatric Radiology, and some will continue on to another second-year fellowship within our Radiology Department. 

Here is an update on what each radiologist will be doing:

Dr. Lisa Betz 

Lisa Betz comes to us from Grand Rapids, MI. She attended Bryn Mawr College (BA Biology) for her undergraduate studies, Wayne State University School of Medicine (MD) and Henry Ford Hospital (radiology residency). 

Dr. Betz will be staying with us for another year. She will be an IR fellow (Interventional Radiology).

Dr. Tianyi “Thomas” Du 

Tianyi Du grew up in Dallas, TX, and prefers to be called Thomas. He attended Dartmouth College for his undergraduate studies, UT Southwestern Medical School for his medical degree, and UT Health San Antonio to complete his residency. 

Dr. Du will be working remotely from his new home in Hawaii. The medical institution he will be working for is a private practice group in Michigan.

Dr. Rawan Hafiz 

Rawan Hafiz is from Jeedah, Saudi Arabia. She attended medical school in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at King Abdulaziz University and completed her residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. 

Dr. Hafiz will be staying with us for another year as a Body MRI clinical fellow.

Dr. Viet Le 

Viet T. Le graduated from Brown University in Providence, RI. She received her medical degree from the University of Missouri. 

Dr. Le finished her second fellowship in Interventional Radiology (IR). She has accepted a position in Kansas City, MO.

Dr. Diana Lopez Garcia 

Diana Lopez Garcia attended the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua in Chihuahua, Mexico, for her undergraduate and medical degrees. For her residencies, she attended Jackson Memorial Hospital/Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami, FL; Hahnemann University Hospital-Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA; and University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. 

Dr. Lopez will be going back home to Mexico and taking some time off to travel the world.

Dr. Rajeev Norangi 

Rajeev Norangi attended Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, MD, and went to Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. He completed his residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. 

Dr. Norangi will be staying with us until December 31. He will be extending his fellowship and concentrating his studies in Radiology Informatics.
