Celebrating Radiology Week 2020!

Wilhelm Roentgen. discovered the x-ray on November 8, 1895. One hundred and twenty-five years later, it is remarkable to consider how imaging has evolved and what we can provide to patients and their families. This week we are celebrating Radiology Week at Cincinnati Children’s.

We are fortunate to work in one of the best pediatric hospitals, and in one of the best Radiology departments, in the world. The work is not always easy, but it is important.

COVID is preventing us from having our usual celebrations this week. As our conference room is being used for waiting families and we’re avoiding large gatherings, we can’t celebrate in the same way as past years. There will be some snacks, t-shirts, and lunch, however, and we hope our Radiology staff will feel at least a little bit of the respect and gratitude that they deserve. Whatever role our staff plays in our department, it is important.

Happy Radiology Week everyone!
