The Center for Pulmonary Imaging Research (CPIR) is a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and clinicians from Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, and the Imaging Research Center (IRC). The CPIR, directed by Jason Woods, PhD, was launched in 2013 to conduct collaborative research focused on functional and structural imaging of the developing and diseased lung. (Dr. Woods, standing far right in group photo)

This multi-disciplinary team illustrates a perfect example of collaboration. Hand in hand, they make the best conditions for team science.

With their involvement in prominent meetings and input to first-rate journals, the CPIR team has earned notoriety. From its beginning, CPIR team members have been presented with $4.2 million in grant funding and promoted collaboration with national and international partners.
