Meet the Team: Dr. Jonathan Dillman

My name is Jonathan Dillman and I am a pediatric radiologist.  It is difficult to put into words how exciting it is to be a new member of the Cincinnati Children’s Radiology team.

While I have spent the past 11 years in Ann Arbor, Michigan, taking care of children at the C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, I am thrilled to be moving south. I grew up in small town Indiana (Paoli) about 90 minutes west of Cincinnati, and I went to both Butler University and the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. As a child, I was a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan and loved going to watch players such as Eric Davis, Chris Sabo, and John Franco at the old Riverfront Stadium. I anticipated our annual summer trip to King’s Island unlike any other event; I’ll never forget my first time on the Beast or the Vortex (think 1980s!).  I look forward to introducing my wife and three girls to the Cincinnati area and its great attractions – they are particularly excited about the world-class zoo and aquarium.

I am also honored to be the new Director of Thoracoabdominal Imaging (CT and MRI of the chest and abdomen). Caring for children through the use of imaging is my passion. At Cincinnati Children’s, I will continue to develop new and improved CT and MRI techniques that allow us to provide better care for pediatric patients by decreasing radiation exposure, improving picture quality, and decreasing the amount of time a test takes. Additionally, I am excited to continue my ongoing research related to improving the care of children with intestinal and liver diseases by using new forms of MRI and ultrasound.

Thank you again for welcoming myself and my family to Cincy. If you see me around, be sure to say hello!
