Welcome to our four new technologists!

Four new technologists have joined our Radiology family. Please help us welcome Paige Burke, who is in Nuclear Medicine, and Allison Livergood, Joseph “Joey” Ward and Leidy Gonzalez, who are in our Radiography/Fluoroscopy division.

Hi, I’m Paige Burke and I am from Orlando, Florida! I chose to be in the medical field so I could make a difference in each patient’s life. Patients are at their most vulnerable in a hospital setting, and as healthcare providers, it’s our job to make the process as painless as possible. Each patient is a person, not a case number. I have always wanted to work in pediatrics, and when the opportunity presented itself at the best children’s hospital, I had to take it.

I love to travel and try new things, and my dogs always accompany me. I adore dogs and going outside and hiking with my own. I am a huge Marvel fan! I will watch any Avenger movie whenever it comes on, no matter how many times I’ve seen it.

Hi, my name is Allison Livergood. My hometown is San Antonio, Texas and I went to Lake Michigan College.

Working at a hospital always interested me, but I didn’t want to be a doctor or a nurse. After some research, I discovered the role of an x-ray tech and figured it was a great position and fit for me! My fiancé and I moved to Harrison, OH, because he had accepted a job in Fairfield, so I was looking for open positions in Cincinnati and saw Children’s Hospital was hiring. I used to come here when I lived in Indiana and everyone I talked to spoke so highly of this hospital, so I just had to apply.

My hobbies are reading, fishing, and ATV riding. The last movie I saw was The Little Mermaid and the last book that I read was You by Caroline Kepnes.

Hi there, I’m Joey Ward. I recently turned 27 and am happy to be coming BACK to the great state of Ohio. My mom and dad raised me to be a Buckeye football fan! My family includes two brothers, Jacoby (wrestles at Air Force Academy) and Jordan (wrestles at UNC), and one sister, Camryn (gymnast and wrestler).

I graduated from Cincinnati Moeller in 2012 and went on to study a Radiologic Science B.S. at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill 2017. Go Tar Heels! While there, I was a four-year starter on the wrestling team and an eventual Olympic level athlete post-grad 2019.

Fun fact: My mom worked at Cincinnati Children’s for 11 years when we first moved to Cincinnati in 2007. Favorite food is anything seafood. My hobbies include snowboarding, longboarding with my 7-year-old boxer, teaching wrestling to my youth club, and traveling the world!

I look forward to working in the Radiology Department and learning from everyone possible to improve healthcare for all our kiddos.

PhotoLeidy Y GonzalezHi, my name is Leidy Gonzales and I’m from Cali- Colombia. I moved to the US back in 2005. I started my career here at Cincinnati Children’s as a medical assistant back in 2014 and joined the Radiology Department in the summer of 2019 as a student technologist.

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati program in May 2020 and transitioned to my new role as a radiology technologist. I love to travel and all kinds of food, especially rice dishes.
