New Features in MyChart Relating to Radiology

New Features in MyChart Relating to Radiology

Recently, the Radiology Department at Cincinnati Children’s launched a new feature for patients in MyChart, our electronic medical record patient portal. Now you can view all of your child’s radiology images by clicking a link in the radiology report. The images are available to view at the same time that the report is posted in MyChart.

In general, x-rays, ultrasounds, nuclear medicine studies, and fluoroscopy studies are available within a couple of hours, while MRIs, CT scans, and PET/CTs are available after about 2 days. With this new feature, Cincinnati Children’s becomes one of the first hospitals to provide its patients with access to view all of their imaging studies.

As you view your child’s images, don’t forget that you can also ask the radiologist a question about the images or the report through MyChart. You can find the link on the main page of the results section of MyChart. We have made these changes to help you feel more connected to the care your child receives in our department. We hope to be able to introduce more exciting new features to MyChart in the future.
