New Ultrasound Technologists Joins Our Radiology Family

Five new ultrasound technologists have joined Cincinnati Children’s Radiology Department this summer. Please welcome Abigail Hountz, Kelsey Laumann, Nicole Meyer, Ashley Stockton and Hope Ziebro.

Abigail Hountz

Hi! My name is Abigail Hountz, but most people call me Abby. I am originally from Batesville, a small town in the Southeastern part of Indiana.

I graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2009. I worked in HR for a few years and then decided to go back to school for ultrasound. I graduated from Kettering College in 2016. I began scanning as a student technologist with Kettering Health Network in 2015. I have worked for them since. I decided to make the change to pediatrics and am excited to learn more as I am a lifelong learner.

I am married and have two children. My oldest is 7 and going into second grade and my youngest is a 4-year-old girl who is headed into pre-K. I also have a black lab who will be 11 in January. In my free time, I enjoy running, working out, reading, and scrapbooking. I am excited to be part of the team at Cincinnati Children’s.

Hi! My name is Kelsey Laumann. I was born and raised in Cincinnati. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being active, and going on trips.

I graduated from the sonography program at Cincinnati State back in the spring. Prior to that, I worked at Medpace after getting my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Northern Kentucky University, where I also played on the women’s soccer team.

I enjoy working in pediatrics and I have always had a desire to care for and help people. I’m excited to be part of the team here at Cincinnati Children’s!

Nicole Meyer

Hi, I’m Nicole Meyer and I graduated from the Cincinnati State sonography program this past May. I was born and raised in the Greater Cincy area. I enjoy hiking, going to the lake, listening to country music, and trying new restaurants.

My personal experience of having ultrasounds sparked my interest in the field. I love interacting with patients of all ages while making a positive difference in their care. I’m so excited to be a part of the Cincinnati Children’s Radiology team!

Ashley Stockton

My name is Ashley Stockton and I recently graduated from Kettering College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. I live in Loveland, OH, with my boyfriend and two German shepherds, Bear and Diesel.

I absolutely love to travel and plan on going to Rome and Greece in the next few years. An interesting fact about me is that I am a certified scuba diver and love ocean wildlife. I hope to one day dive at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

I am excited to start this new journey at Cincinnati Children’s and I look forward to working with everyone!

Hope Ziebro

Hello! My name is Hope Ziebro and I was born and raised in Cincinnati. I have seven siblings and recently graduated from Cincinnati State’s ultrasound program. I have worked as a patient care assistant (PCA) in the Patient Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Cincinnati Children’s for the past two years and I am excited to continue my career here as an ultrasound technologist!
